How Are You Spending The Weirdest Week of the Year?

I've always thought this is the weirdest week of the year. The lead up to the holidays is done. All of the hustle and bustle of shopping and holiday visits are over. The presents are opened, played with and already old hat, for those of us who get them. And for many parts of the world, the weather is meh.

So how are you spending this limbo week? For some, it is a week to hustle and close out the year strong. But the reality is that lots of people are out of office this week, either for the full week or just part time. So catching them in the office will be difficult.

Others advocate for doing nothing. And if you are in fact off this week, that’s exactly what you should be doing - nothing.

Regardless of the camp you are in, we suggest a bit of contemplation and planning, while trying to enjoy this time as well. Take a bit of time this week to think about the year that has past. What went well and what could have gone better. Just make some notes. We’re not calling for the New Year’s Resolutions just yet, but take a bit of time while things are less crazy and think about how you would do things a bit differently for the upcoming year. If you kept a journal, flip back through it and relive some of the past year. Reflection happens better when we’re not rushed, so take this slow week and contemplate. And enjoy this last week of the year.

Keep Calm - its the last week of the year!
