Making Resolutions? Start Small & Manageable

Well, it is that time year again. Time for many people to assess the past and make resolutions to make the New Year DIFFERENT! They have these big dreams of how life will be in the future and they’re going to take the world by storm and make all these changes.

While we are not in favor of deciding to make changes simply based on the turning of a calendar, we have always been a huge proponent of CANI - Constant And Never-ending Improvement. And of course, to make improvements, we need to make changes. So change away.

AND, we recommend that you keep those changes small and manageable (and realistic). Want to run that Marathon this year and you can’t walk a mile. Maybe start with a Couch to 5K program and work your way up. And incorporate them into your daily life. Can you wake up 40 minutes earlier to get some cardio in and improve your heart-health? Chances are yes, and that little change can lead to other, bigger changes down the road.

And be kind to yourself. If you slip, do not beat yourself up over it. Just get back up, dust yourself off and keep at it.

Change is hard, but it IS worth it.

Baby steps lead to BIG dreams!
